About Bethany
Hello! Thank you for checking out Studio Bethany. As a teacher, my goal is to bring out the performer and singer in you. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a focus in Performance. I love the stage, whether it is singing solo at my home church or performing with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus at Helzberg Hall in the Kauffman Performing Arts Center. My teaching experience lies in directing church choirs and bands, teaching beginners and intermediate musicians how to read music, sing properly with full voice, and connect to the audience. Personally, I believe that anyone can learn to sing a song, but a real musician relates to their audience no matter the situation or song.
On a personal note, music is my passion along with Christ, family, friends, traveling, and church. As much as possible, my time is divided between spending time with or pursuing my passions. I enjoy working full time at a small business in downtown Kansas City. I have traveled to 11 different coutries, half of the US states, and sang in 5 countries.
One of the best things in my life is being an Aunt. My world changed when I became an aunt for the first time and continues to change everytime a little life intercepts my world. I love each of them with all my heart and look forward to showing them the joys of life.
My accomplishments include: recording a CD, performing on the radio, performing with the Kansas City Symphony as part of the Symphony Chorus, being a part of the music ministry at Shawnee Church of the Nazarene in Shawnee, KS, performing roles in a couple small operas , performing recitals, and directing the Valley United Methodist Chancel Choir in Des Moines, IA. Continually I focus on growing as a person, but also as a musician and teacher.
